John Grisham

Finished 'the Last Juror' I found it rather... weird... >.< the book doesn't even focus on what it says on the back cover until like page 300+ and even then it's like rushed. and the impression is that all juror's die but that's not the case...and some really whacky stuff happens there that made me kinda go "ok what does this have to do with the plot...?" but eh... think I know why that one didn't get made into a movie.. heh.

Borrowed 'the Chamber' read about 6 pages of it so far.

What I really want to read is 'The Client' and 'A Time to Kill'

I hate to say this, but, John Grisham's books on lawyers has pretty dissapointing plot and all the ending is basically the same. My first book of him was 'The Firm', but after 'The Partner' his charm is kinda loose on me.
Have you tried: 'Skipping Christmas', 'Bleachers', or 'The Painted House'?

That's why I'm not buying 'em, but borrowing them from the library. And we don't have those three in the library. We got five.

I have to say 'Pelican Brief' was good, I've read it couple of years ago. 'Firm' was okay as well.

A Time to Kill is one of the best.

Say, do you have Jeffrey Archer there? We have scarce of him here. I love his '12 red herrings'

Yep got Jeffrey Archer. I've read the "Twist in the Tales" one and "Shall we tell the president" as well as a few more I can't remember now. read 'em back in 1999-2000.

I think I saw a few for sale on a "2 for 1" deal which is good, considering usually novels cost quite a bit. Still waiting for Sidney Sheldon's latest book to come down in price a bit before I snatch that. I've got all his series except the last book. ('are you afraid of the dark' I believe it's called)

I haven't read those. It's hard to find his books here compare to Sidney Sheldon. Why did I always associate Sidney as a female? I love 'The Sky is Falling Down'.

Novels here is pretty expensive for my pocket, and remembering that Indonesian bookstores *never* had 2 for 1 sales, I prefer to borrow them from the library/families/friends if they're available.

I'll check the bookshop tomorrow and tell you what we've got and what the price is exactly. If you want/like the price, get me a list of the ones you want and I'll get 'em for you.

Yeah I thought Sydney Sheldon was a female too. >.<

One of hte bookshops here, Booksplus, often sells the older books at a cheaper price just to get rid of them. they also got P.D. James' books on that offer.

Our bookstore here list $9-$10 per book. Thank you for offering, but I don't think I'll buy anything at this time, wanna buy some gadgets first ha ha ha.

I never heard of PD James, I don't usually remember authors' name on random selection. But, I'll look for him(her?) XD

Roughly USD$7 a book ; they don't have the two for one deal anymore , but at least the individual books are okay-ishly priced.
